My Top 30 Movies Of All Time

I think that looking at someone's favorite movies of all time tells people a lot about the films they enjoy seeing. I am also including mini serieses in this list. Next to the movie, I put down my favorite scene from that film. I also have a list of My Top 100 Movies on Letterboxd which is a little more in-depth on some of my favorite films.
  1. The Empire Strikes Back - "No, I am your father." - Darth Vader
  2. City Lights - The ending for sure. It ties together what is possibly the greatest romance of all time.
  3. The Dark Knight - The Interrogation Scene has always been one of my favorite scenes of all time in any film.
  4. Twin Peaks: The Return
  5. 2001: A Space Odessey - The final sequence of the film
  6. Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers - The Battle of Helms Deep
  7. Star Wars - Luke gazing off into the sunset, looking at the two suns continues to give me chills
  8. Blade Runner 2049 - the sequence at Las Vegas is excellent and is full of great shots
  9. Mad Max: Fury Road - The action sequence of Max and Furiosa taking on the biker gang is superb
  10. Warrior - Hardy and Edgerton's fight always is a tear jerker for me
  11. Inception - it's probably a bit cliche but that hallway fight is awesome!
  12. Modern Times - the factory sequence
  13. Knives Out - The beginning portion of the film when Benoit Blanc is interviewing each of the family members
  14. Chernoybl - I don't know if I have a favorite scene. There is a sequence where sement is being poured on a grave that looks so well and really packs a punch. There are so many other great sequences though.
  15. Amadeus - Basically any time Antonion Salieri is describing the beauty of Motzart's music. F. Murray Abraham gives such a great performance!

  17. The Gold Rush - The Tramp and the two weirdos in the cabin has some of the best comedy from any Chaplin film

  19. Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring - Gandalf saying, "You shall not pass!"
  20. Casino Royale - the parkour chase
  21. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King - The thirty minute long ending that some people have a problem with but never fails to make me teary eyed.
  22. Logan - Look, Logan is very brutal so there isn't a scene I enjoy watching but going through this new future is expertly well done.
  23. Wall E - That dancing scene through space is beautiful!
  24. Twin Peaks: The Pilot - Cooper's introduction never ceases to make me smile
  25. Blade Runner - Rutger Howard's speech at the end. One of the greatest speeches ever.
  26. The Godfather - Al Pacino saying, "I'll make you an offer you can't refuse."
  27. Toy Story 3 - When the toys hold hands, preparing to go into the fire.
  28. The Silence of the Lambs - Hanabial's breakout scene
  29. Inglourious Basterds - Probaly when Tarantio rewrites history but the whole film is great!
  30. Rear Window - When James Stewart watches the man from across the street and notices things are suspicous.
